TYPE 1 DIABETES CHILDREN AND TEENAGERS

Bringing children with type 1 diabetes together, along with their families, for support through organised activities and educational events.

Awareness

Get to know the 4 Ts of type 1 diabetes

The 4 Ts are the four most common symptoms of type 1 diabetes. These can develop in children and young people very quickly, within the space of a few days or weeks. If left untreated, they can lead to a serious and life-threatening condition known as diabetic ketoacidosis (DKA).

Toilet

Going to the toilet more often than usual. Bedwetting by a previously toilet-trained child. Excessively wet nappies in babies.

Thirsty

Constantly feeling thirsty, even after drinking water. Getting up to drink during the night.

Tired

Extreme tiredness and lack of energy that isn't relieved by sleep or rest.

Thinner

Unexplained or sudden weight loss.

Fundraising

How we've been raising money

We are so grateful to the many organisations and individuals who fundraise on our behalf.
Every penny collected goes directly towards organising events and providing support for our teenagers and young children with type 1 diabetes.
